I just wanted to share with all of you what happenned to me 2 weeks ago. I was visiting my girlfriend who lives in Quebec city and she was working all weekend so I was free to roam around for the afternoon.

I decided to go to my favorite micro dep: La Duchesse D'aguillon. It has the best selection and awesome price... the owner is actually loosing money but he just like beer. My girlfriend bought me some awesome 2 foot tall copies of kwak glasses thanks to his advice and I though I could give him a small token of my appreciation and give him some of my homebrew. I went ther and I gave him a six pak of my brews. I told him it would be nice if we could have a tasting together. Andre, the owner, told me it was illegal and then he took some glasses and I followed him with one of is employee to the back . We simmulated a tasting of a commercial beer and openned my berry beer. He really liked it and kept giving me compliments... till my head couldnt fit in the door. After we oppenned a double and then compliment were flying again (bad for my ego). Then, he took out a paper, wrote down : closed for 10 min will be back, and stick it in the front door. We went up onto the story high rooftop and drank the rest of my beers! They dint know all the geeky classification stuff but they were beer lovers for sure. After an hour and a half Andre dicided to open the store back so he wouldt go bankrupt.

enought with the bragging I just wanted to say that if you in quebec city this is the guy to see. Also if you have bottles bring it to him because if he liked my beer to the point of wanting to give me an shelf to sell my beer, he will love the montrealers beer!
